   Hi I did not want to put a post in the topic in case you were asked for by others for them or where they could get them, I amhaving the one tony sent to me framed, another friend of mine gave me only here for the beer back in 1981 1982 ish and in 1991 he took it with him racing and got your dad to sign it for me (my bible). Tony is producing a new car at the moment I will have to call him to see how he is doing . hope to meet one day at a show or sonewhere Regards Steve

   Don't worry, you can post a topic - I think I have 2 un-framed, I definitely have one plus I think Tony has some. Unfortunately the poster was rushed and two cars are completely wrong colour-wise, one of them being Old Nail!! You're lucky, I had to buy a signed copy off ebay, haha!! Do you know car Tony is producing? When you speak to him pass on my regards. Yes, that would be nice, I was at Luton last Sunday and will be at Classics in the Walled Gardens, Classics on the Common and I'm sure something else so if you're ever in the South East let me know.

   Hi Gregor my name is Steve and live in somerset I have sort of talked to you on the griffin snug, do you know a person called Tony Clayton from Essex, I met him at a friends funeral a couple of months ago. we got talking and he knew your dad plus he also did some poster's for him and has sent one to me, well pleased have you seen them and have you got one, if not he may still have some more hope to talk on the snug again some time Steve

   Hi Steve - yes I know Tony, lovely guy. He was a friend of Dad's in the Barnet Motor Company/TVR days (mid-'60s) and then raced a Vixen himself, followed by an Elan I think. He is now owner of Piper Cars and he did a great poster of Dad around 2000ish, I have it plus I have his original draft of it which is a bit different.

   Hi I was browsing Scottish Rally archives and came on the SMT Forum chat. I was Bill Taylors Mechanic for the time period 1965 to 69 and also 1972thru 1974, I can remember snatches of back then, we made sojourns across the Forth to somewhere outside Edinburgh to drive this new Vauxhall. If I can recollect Bill was contacted thru the Royal Bank to help with the build and set up. Was this car driven in a Scottish National Rally by one of SMTs big wigs and stuffed into the bush causing much unwanted modifications.My memory isnt what it used to be. I have lived and worked in BC Canada for the last 34 yrs and have had no contact with the UK rally scene so my memory needs a kickstarted. Jock Halley
